Ewa Budka is a Polish artist, graduated Masters with Rector’s honors in May 2013 from the Department of Graphic Art and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland where she studied printmaking and graphic design. Awarded with an Art scholarship at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in MKE, USA Budka finalized her research on a rarely practiced Japanese printmaking technique called Mokulito, creating her own printmaking technique named after her, Budkalito. The exciting results of Budkalito research, allowed her to travel and lecture around the world.

Her work has been shown in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Poland (Warsaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Kraków) and abroad, including New York City, Paris, Corsica, London, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, St. Louis and Tokyo.

Budka is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in different drawing, painting and printmaking techniques. The pieces Budka creates are her way of communicating with the outside world. Colorful hand made marks on a paper are notes from Budka’s universe to the outer reality. They show frustration, love and struggle as a reaction to primitive human instincts.
